Among the new sales channels Acer in 2009 focalized its attention on the Telco.
The Telco channel is becoming an increasingly important and strategic aspect because it represents the Internet connection provider for all Smart Handheld, Netbook, or Notebook devices that users may choose. Undoubtedly the most significant because highlights how the Internet-centric approach to technology and mobility head up the company's list of priorities.
Acer has therefore unified sales management dedicated to Internet connection provider to offer an exclusive contact and share in technological and service trends in order to offer clients solutions that are always updated and readily available.
During 2009 Acer settled many agreements with Telcos all around the world as proof of Acer products quality. This strategy will continue in 2010 and the Liquid e, the new version of the already well-known Liquid smartphone, not yet available on the market is already a protagonist!
Rogers, Canada’s leading wireless provider, is the first company to offer the Acer Liquid e in Canada. At launch the Acer Liquid will be the only Android 2.1 enabled device, including high definition display, advanced new features and functionality. The device will be available exclusively from Rogers beginning this spring.
“Rogers is very excited to be partnering with a highly respected global brand like Acer to bring the Acer Liquid e to Canadians consumers,” said John Boynton, Executive Vice-President, Marketing, Rogers. “By exclusively launching, the first Acer smartphone in Canada, we are once again demonstrating our industry-leading ability to be first to bring to market the latest and greatest mobile devices Canadians are asking for, and adding to our already impressive line-up of Android-enabled devices.”
